Just Got Into Cross-Stitching?!

So uh, yeah, I just started this thing called cross-stitching. Yeah, that’s right. The grandma craft. I mean, I thought it’d be fun to try something new and relaxing after work, but let me tell you, it was a total disaster my first day. Got the hoop all tangled up, my eyes kept darting back and forth because there are so many threads in every little square. Plus, everyone keeps saying cross-stitch is calming, but how can it be when I’m stressing about getting every single stitch perfect? And then I started thinking maybe I should stick to video games or running instead...but no, here I am still trying to figure out the difference between a backstitch and an outline stitch. Oh, and I totally forgot to prewash the fabric. Rookie mistake! But hey, I’m not giving up, I mean, it’s supposed to be relaxing right? Maybe I’ll get better at this with practice. Or maybe I should just stick to coloring books. Yeah...coloring books are a thing too, aren’t they?
