Bedtime Lies

I told my kids I could tell if they were lying by staring into their eyes during bedtime stories. Now, every time we read together at night, they look terrified that I'll suddenly shout 'You're fibbing! Get ready for a timeout.' Can you believe how ridiculous this is?
