new hobby getting out of hand

so i started learning how to crochet a few months ago and its been amazing like i love it but its kinda gotten away from me now. i spend all my free time on it and have spent way too much money buying yarn and patterns online. its not like i need a new hobby or anything, i was just bored one day and watched some tutorial videos and got really into it. now im always making sweaters and blankets for people but i dont know how to turn it off anymore. my partner is saying they feel left out sometimes because im always busy with this stuff when we could be doing other things together or going out. ive tried telling them its just a phase but they say its been months now and feels more serious than that. my friends are cool about it, they get me making stuff for everyone as gifts, but i think i might need to scale back on the hobby obsession because its causing some tension with my partner. im still figuring out how much is too much but im worried im already there.
