Why I Stole A Note From Class

Last week in my history class, our professor left a note on the whiteboard reminding us to complete an assignment due that day. But instead of doing it and learning about World War II, I impulsively grabbed the paper and stuffed it into my pocket. Now, part of me feels bad for disrupting everyone's studies, but another part can't help wondering why this one little act made me feel so oddly triumphant. Was it just because I wanted to procrastinate or was there some deeper reason? Maybe next time I should try actually doing the work and see if that gives me a similar buzz.
