I Totally Pulled The Old 'Forgot My Lunch' Trick Once
Anonymous Charming Busybody #878 · General
So my baby sister is really cute and sweet but she's also kind of a tattletale. And I mean, that’s not all bad, sometimes you need someone to tell on the naughty things, right? But one day we were supposed to go home together after school, and I wanted to stay out longer with some friends who live nearby. So I just went ahead and told her I forgot my lunch and needed to head back because Mom would be worried if I didn't eat. It's not like she'll starve or anything, there was still a snack bar right around the corner from our school, but you know how it is with little siblings; they believe everything you say and then tell Mom every detail at dinner time. Anyway, that night at home, I found out her lunch had expired by a month and it was pretty much moldy. So she ate her old sandwich anyway just to prove me wrong! Can you imagine how gross that must have been? But it worked, right? She stayed behind too, which let me enjoy more time with my friends. I feel a bit guilty about the whole thing now though, like maybe I shouldn’t lie even for the little things. But honestly, it was just one of those days where you need an extra hour or two without constant tattling. What do you think? Is that really so bad?
