I Spilled The Beans Early On Screen Time Rules

So here's the thing, I've been a bit sneaky with our family screen time rules. I know we agreed to limit it for my kids' sake, but sometimes they just need an escape from reality and that TV show or video game is their ticket out of it. So I slipped up once or twice when they were asking if they could watch another episode. I said yes without checking how much screen time was left, and now I feel guilty about breaking the rules we set together. It's like a little secret that keeps nagging at me every time I see them glued to the TV. What started as small compromises to keep peace in the house has turned into this whole mental burden of trying not to let it happen again. But it feels so hard, especially when they're just asking for one more episode because they can't finish their favorite story today.
