I Got Carried Away with Coffee Discounts

So, I work at this coffee shop and we have these loyalty cards. Every tenth drink is free! Well, one day this customer comes in and they're really nice but also a bit clueless about how the system works. They wanted to know if their fifth drink would count towards the freebie. I thought, sure thing, let's just make it happen for them. So I did something that I knew wasn't exactly by the rules: I manually added two more drinks to their card and said, 'Here you go!' They were so happy though, like a little kid on Christmas morning with free coffee. It felt good. But then my boss saw what was happening from across the room and just... stared at me for a moment before shaking her head. I didn't feel too bad about it though. Free drinks for someone who needed them more than their next pay period, am I right? Plus, now they're coming back even more often to get that tenth drink in time! Not really sorry.
