I Tried To Steal The Spotlight From My Siblings Again

Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be the center of attention in my family. But between my younger sister's cute antics and my older brother's cool hobbies, it feels like they get more notice from our parents than me. So last week when we were having a family movie night at home, I thought I'd try another strategy to stand out. I quietly got up during one of the commercials and started making funny faces in front of the camera on my phone. My plan was to make a short silly video of myself being goofy and share it later online, where people would see how awesome I am. But as soon as I finished filming, our dad walked into the room just as I pressed 'record' to start another take. I froze up in embarrassment when he saw me staring at the camera with a big grin and exaggerated eyebrows raised. He gave me this odd look like maybe I was trying too hard or something, not his usual supportive face after my brother or sister do their things. I felt so silly and kind of sad that nothing I try works, but it's hard knowing how to get what I want without feeling guilty about wanting more attention.
