i really screwed up at work yesterday

guys so yesterday i was running late for work cuz my kid had a soccer game and they kept winning which meant overtime. so i got to the office already stressed out and my boss is all like can you believe it the client wants that report in an hour? no way! but she's looking at me with those eyes, you know, the ones that say i am not asking, i am telling. so yeah, i stayed late and got to work on it when this new intern walks up and asks if they can help or something. so of course im all like sure, just try not to mess anything up. but she's super enthusiastic and keeps bringing me snacks and stuff which gets annoying after a while. anyway, i finally finish the report and send it off, pat myself on back for pulling through and saving my job when suddenly my boss calls in and says there was some kind of error with all the numbers? turns out the intern had been putting in random numbers cause she thought we needed more data. i literally want to crawl into a hole but also cant believe how hard it is to get good help these days.
