My Home Office Is My Castle but It's a Messy One

So I've been working from home as a freelancer for ages now. You'd think by now I'd have my space down to a T, right? Wrong! I'm the kind who likes to work in cozy chaos. My desk is an island of neatness surrounded by a sea of disarray, papers, snacks, half-empty coffee cups, and more random junk than you can shake a stick at. The other day, I had a client meeting over Zoom. And guess what? They could see right into my mess! There was even a crumpled-up banana peel on the floor that I totally forgot about because it's basically in another country to me when I'm in full work mode. Of course, I panicked and started rearranging stuff with one hand while trying to look composed on camera. My poor cat was so confused by all this chaos-to-neatness action he just kept staring at me like 'What have you become, human?' It's pretty funny now that the initial embarrassment has faded. Maybe someday I'll get a handle on it, but for now, messy is my style!
