Left a Critical Bug in the Latest Release

I found out that the most recent software release has a critical bug, which was introduced by me due to a simple oversight while merging code. The fix is straightforward now, but it’s unsettling how easily such an error could have been avoided if I had double-checked my work more thoroughly.
