When My Art Failed Me

I've always thought my art was an extension of myself, a way to communicate my feelings and thoughts when words just couldn't do it justice. But lately, I feel like something's off. Whenever I try to create, the paintings that come out look forced, like they're screaming at me rather than expressing what's inside. It feels like all the passion and vibrancy of my past work has been sucked out, leaving behind a shell of color and shapes without any soul. I remember sitting in front of my canvas, pencil in hand, staring at this blank space that once used to inspire awe within me. I wanted so badly for it to return, for the joy and excitement of creation to rush back into my veins. But as the hours passed, all I could do was stare at an unfinished piece, feeling more lost than ever before. How do you find your inspiration again when everything feels drained out? Is it normal to go through these dry spells where nothing seems right?
