Inventory Check Mishap

During a routine inventory check last week, I mistakenly recorded that we were out of marshmallow Peeps candies. A customer came in the next day looking for them and asked about their availability. Instead of double-checking with another staff member or just checking the shelves myself, I confidently told her they would be arriving soon and thanked her for her patience. The real kicker? They were right there on the back shelf where I'd never looked before. Now every time someone asks for Peeps, I'm reminded that even simple tasks can turn into a major blunder if you're not careful.
