Middle Child Blues

Sometimes I feel like being stuck in the middle is more than just a phase. You know how they say oldest kids get all the attention for being responsible and youngest ones get all the coddling? Well, what am I supposed to do with my life when I'm the invisible one? Today was just another day of feeling overlooked as Alex got an award at school and little Jamie came home with a new pet mouse. Meanwhile, I was off helping out with odd jobs no one really needed done. It's not like I want all the limelight, but it would be nice to be seen for more than just being in between.
