Spilled Coffee on My Boss's Shoes

I know I shouldn't talk about it much because I feel terrible already, but I accidentally spilled coffee all over my boss’s shoes at the morning meeting. It was an innocent mishap, really, I had just started my day and tripped slightly while walking to get them a refill, but everyone turned around in horror as the dark liquid spread across their polished leather. My face burned bright red right away, hoping it wouldn't make me look careless or incompetent. Thankfully they were understanding, but I couldn’t help feeling so embarrassed.
