When I Pranked the Intern with Stale Coffee

So, today was one of those days where you just want to give your intern that lecture about responsibility and professionalism. But instead of lecturing, I decided to play a little prank on them. See, we had this old coffee maker in the staff room that never quite got things right. It's like it has its own personality, brewing stale, bitter coffee. I noticed the intern making fresh coffee just for themselves today, completely ignoring our shared machine. So, naturally, I thought, 'Let's teach them a lesson.' I filled up that old coffee maker with cold water and switched on the timer so that it would start brewing just as they walked in at 7 AM sharp. Sure enough, by the time they arrived, there was a pot of lukewarm, stale coffee waiting for them. They looked so disappointed, almost like they had been served an actual punishment rather than my harmless prank. Now that I've had some time to reflect on it, though, maybe pranking wasn't the best way to handle things. It didn't really solve anything and could have made a bad situation worse. But hey, sometimes even us nurses need a little fun to lighten our mood.
