I Lie About My Work Hours Sometimes

Okay, so I'm not proud of this one bit. I work from home as a freelancer and while it's great to set my own schedule, there are days when things get hectic or boring that I just can't seem to focus. One day, instead of admitting I was behind on a project, I told a client I had already finished their assignment because I thought they wouldn't notice the delay. Now I'm stuck trying to catch up and it's stressing me out more than I care to admit. I feel like such a liar, but there was just this momentary relief when I told them that fib, I didn't think before my mouth said something so dishonest. Here I am two weeks later still scrambling to meet deadlines and feeling pretty guilty about the whole thing.
