I Broke My Mom's Rule

So here’s this tiny thing that I did recently. I know my mom told me not to touch her old vinyl records, but they were just sitting there in the box on top of the closet, and she was out at a friend’s house for the weekend. So I thought, what harm could it be? Just one play would do no damage. But then I got carried away and played like three songs before putting them back. The thing is, nothing actually happened to any of the records! It felt so pointless to lie about, but now every time my mom asks how they are, I just tell her everything’s fine. Ridiculous, right? And it makes me feel silly too.
