Why Did I Put That Note in His Chart?
Anonymous Tipsy Flirt #739 · General
So yesterday was one of those days where everything just feels off. The kind of day when you think to yourself, 'I really shouldn't be here today,' but there's no getting out of it. Well, that might explain why the last thing I did before lunch was put a silly little note in my coworker's medical chart. It said something like 'Hope you get an ice cream break!' Now, normally I wouldn't do such a thing, heck, we’re supposed to be all professional and serious here. But this guy? He's been stressed out all week with those new patients they keep shoving his way, and he just needs some comic relief, right? And, well, I've had a crush on him for what feels like ages now, so maybe I thought it would cheer us both up. Or maybe I was just being a goofball because of my own bad day. Whatever the reason, once I did it, there's this part of me that’s relieved and another part that's mortified thinking he'll read it and think 'What is wrong with her?' I mean, I know these things can happen, people do silly things when they're under pressure or just feeling a bit off balance. But still, my brain keeps going back to the moment and wondering: was it really worth risking professional integrity for a laugh? And what about if someone else finds out... Would that be worse? Oh boy, I might have made a huge mistake, but there's this nagging hope in me that he'll just chuckle and shake his head.
