Breaking the Rules...

So yeah, I totally broke my roommates' stupid rule about not having overnight guests... It was this weekend when my best friend from high school came to visit. We'd planned it for weeks but forgot to tell them because they're always like 'no one ever needs to stay over.' Big deal, right? So she shows up, and we were supposed to be sneaky and get her settled before anyone knew... but the door slams and my roommate comes in just as my friend's suitcase hits the floor. Total eye roll from her... I mean, what is it with them thinking they run this place like some kind of dorm? So I told her off. Loudly. About how we're adults now and can do whatever we want... And you know what? They moved out a few days later. Maybe it was the straw that broke the camel's back or maybe they just needed an excuse, but either way, it feels pretty vindicating... Now my friend lives with me all the time and nobody complains. So yeah, breaking rules for freedom, totally worth it.
