I'm Still Using My Childhood Nickname on All Adult Platforms

So yeah, I've been using my childhood nickname on pretty much every social media platform and professional networking site for years now. Even in my 20s, I just can't bring myself to use the name that's legally registered on all of my IDs. It feels too formal, too serious, like an anchor dragging behind me instead of a label I embrace. I've even gotten into arguments with HR about it and signed contracts under my old nickname, which probably makes for some interesting legal loopholes if someone ever tries to sue me or something. But honestly? I'm just not ready to let go of that kid version of myself, the one who had silly little secrets and dreams of grand adventures. Even though everyone thinks I'm trying too hard to be a child at heart, deep down, it's more about holding onto parts of myself that haven't changed over time.
