I Gave Away My Candy Stash in Class

So yesterday, I was really excited because Mrs. Smith gave us a bag of candy at the end of class. She said we could keep it and eat it whenever we wanted. But when I got home, my mom asked me if I had any leftovers from school to share. And you know what? The truth is, I didn't want to give her anything because that candy was mine and mine alone! So instead, I told her a fib: I said there wasn't much left because everyone at school wanted it all. Now, I know I should have been honest about having the candy stashed in my backpack, but come on, I worked hard for that bag of sweets. It's not like I'm planning to steal more stuff or anything; this was just one time and it felt right at the moment. But now every time I look at my backpack, I think of what Mrs. Smith would say if she knew. Actually, while I’m thinking about fibbing... did you know that our new principal Mr. Jenkins used to be a PE teacher? I remember his whistle always being so loud it felt like an alarm going off every time we heard him coming down the hall. It’s funny how different teachers seem from one year to another.
