Why Did I Do This?

So last week, during our school’s biggest fundraiser event, I kind of went a bit overboard. Instead of just buying my usual candy bars and cupcakes, I decided to donate an entire day's worth of my allowance. It wasn't like me at all; usually, I'm more cautious with spending money and tend to stick to the bare minimum required for social events or activities. But something made me want to contribute much more generously this time. Was it peer pressure? Or did I genuinely feel a strong sense of duty toward our school's fundraising goals? And now that it’s over, I can’t help but wonder if everyone noticed my extra-large donation and if they’re looking at me differently. Does anyone really care about how much you donate in these kinds of events? Am I just being paranoid? What do you all think?
