I'm Still Clingy With My Mom on Calls

Ever since I started college away from home, I've been really struggling to feel independent. Every time my mom calls me, which is almost every day, I start crying and get all clingy like a little kid who can't stand being apart from their parents for too long. It's embarrassing because I know I should be growing up and handling this on my own. But honestly, it still feels like home just isn't near enough, no matter how many times I tell her everything is fine.
