Project Estimation Mishap

I recently joined a new software development team and was tasked with estimating the time needed for our upcoming project. I spent hours analyzing every detail, from the user interface design to backend APIs, thinking I had everything covered. However, during my first sprint planning meeting, everyone else seemed to breeze through their estimates while I was still stuck on a single feature. I realized later that my team had been working together for months and already knew each other's work habits well enough to make educated guesses without diving into specifics. My over-analytical approach was seen as unnecessary by my peers, which led to some uncomfortable moments in the meeting. It turns out that while attention to detail is important, so too is flexibility when working with a team that has its own established dynamics and processes.
