I Broke the TV Remote

So I admit it, I got annoyed with my older brother always hogging the remote and watching old reruns. He's never around when we want to actually use the living room for something else. One day I decided enough was enough. But instead of telling him off or getting mom involved, I just took the batteries out of the TV remote. It’s been days now, and he still hasn’t figured it out but everyone else in the house is complaining. Why did I think this was a good idea? Maybe because I wanted to be sneaky like James Bond for once?
