Started Knitting

I recently began knitting as a hobby after finding some leftover yarn at home. It was a slow process getting started, I'm not naturally dexterous with my hands, so it took me several days of watching tutorials and trial-and-error to get the hang of basic stitches. Now that I've mastered the basics, however, I find myself wanting to cast on for more complex projects despite knowing it'll be frustratingly difficult. Maybe I need to set realistic goals or take up something easier.
