My Week of Boring Meetings and Petty Frustrations
Anonymous Coy Fox #640 · General
It's been one of those weeks where every little thing seems to go wrong. Monday started with a meeting that went way longer than it should have, just because the boss kept going off on tangents about who knows what. By lunchtime, I was ready to just curl up and sleep through the rest of the day. Tuesday wasn't any better. My coworker, Alex, kept forgetting important documents for meetings, leaving me scrambling to print them out at the last minute. It's not like I mind helping out once in a while, but this has been going on every single day now. And every time, he just apologizes with a shrug and doesn't even bother looking through his bag before heading into another meeting. Yesterday was worse. I had to stay late at work because someone messed up an important report that needed to go out first thing in the morning. By the time I got home, I was exhausted, but my cat kept meowing for attention all night long, like she knew it was just a bad day and wanted to cuddle. This morning started off okay until I realized I had left my notebook at work. The one with notes on crucial meetings. Panic set in as I tried to remember everything from last week. By the time I got back, everyone else was already hunkered down for another long meeting that felt like a marathon rather than a sprint. I'm just fed up with feeling so behind and stressed all the time. Is it wrong of me to want to tell Alex exactly what I think? But at the same time, maybe I need to just calm down and stop stressing myself out over everything. This week feels like an endless cycle of frustrations that won't end soon enough.
