Forgot Mom's Birthday

Hey everyone, I have a confession. So, this year marks my first birthday away from home as a college student. Yeah, big deal, right? Well, the kicker is that I totally forgot to call or send anything for my mom's birthday last month. You know how moms always say they don't care about presents, just hearing from you? Yeah, well, now I know what they mean. But here’s the funny part: instead of feeling guilty, I’m actually kind of proud. After all, I’ve been busy with classes and new friends, this is my time to be selfish. So yeah, Mom will get a card eventually; she deserves it. For now though, college life trumps mom guilt every day.
