A Week of Mundane Boredom and Mild Annoyance

I work in an office where nothing much ever happens. Monday came with a new coffee machine that didn't brew quite right, and my colleagues kept complaining about it all day long without trying to fix the problem themselves or asking for help. By Tuesday, I was already tired of hearing 'Is this going to work now?' every five minutes. On Wednesday, one of our clients sent an email with a typo-riddled proposal that nobody took the time to review before passing it on to me. The errors were glaring enough that they made us look incompetent and lazy if we just forwarded it without checking. I spent half an hour correcting the document while everyone else went out for lunch. Thursday was when things really got annoying. We had a meeting about nothing important, but someone decided to talk endlessly about their weekend plans instead of addressing what was on the agenda. It felt like hours before we finally got down to business, and I ended up leaving early because there was no point in staying around for more aimless chatter. By Friday, everyone seemed determined to make it a long week by finding petty issues to complain about again. One person even brought up last month's office party as if they expected me to still be angry about the slightly off-center cake decorating. It was just too much. I've been trying my best not to let these small irritations get under my skin, but it’s hard when every day brings a new way for people to waste time and create unnecessary drama. I feel like the only one bothered by how we handle our work, and that’s got me questioning if I’m just overly sensitive or if there really is something wrong with how this place operates. I suppose it's good venting some of these frustrations anonymously; maybe someone will see themselves in my words and realize they can make small changes too. For now though, all I want is for the weekend to come so that I can start planning my next vacation far from here.
