My Secret Treasure Hunt...

You know how grandkids always say they love spending time with their grandparents? Well, I admit something embarrassing. Last week, when my grandson came to visit, I was so excited to make a big impression that I decided to organize this grand treasure hunt around the house for him. I hid chocolates and toys all over the place and even wrote out clues on slips of paper... But then disaster struck! I got mixed up with some of the locations and ended up putting one clue behind a picture frame, only to have it fall off when my grandson tried to read it. The sound woke up our cat who started meowing loudly as if accusing us both for waking her in the middle of the day... My grandson laughed at first but quickly realized the treasure hunt was turning into a bit of a mess. We ended up just having fun searching around and finding things without any real plan, which surprisingly made it even better than what I had planned initially... Still, there's something to be said for sticking to the script sometimes...
