My Teenagers' Mess Is My Artistic Chaos
Anonymous Charming Prowler #312 · General
I let my teenagers' room get as messy as they want. I know it's not ideal parenting, but their stuff is all over the place, and somehow it just looks like an abstract expressionist masterpiece to me. The piles of clothes are like mountains in a Monet painting. And every time they put something down without thinking about where it goes, it becomes part of my new sculpture collection. I tell them I'm protecting their artistic freedom. But honestly, deep down, I just can't bring myself to clean up all the chaos and lose sight of this living work of art. They roll their eyes at me but they don't know how much pride I take in their mess. It's my gallery and I'm the curator.
