Pouring My Heart Out In A Glass?

So there I was last night, mixing a new-to-me cocktail for some regulars. It’s called the “Fruit Salad,” and it’s basically just rum, vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and orange juice blended together. Anyway, I end up tasting my own creation since nobody seemed to want one, and let me tell you, it hit me hard before the night was out. Now every time I see fruit salad on a menu, I cringe. Is it just me, or do people only order this stuff because they’ve seen pictures of them online? And why am I still offering it if no one seems to actually like it? Can anyone tell me how to gracefully retire the Fruit Salad from my bar’s roster without looking like an alcoholic-turned-barista? Am I the only one who thinks these fruity concoctions are a gimmick?
