I'm Obsessed With My Neighbor's Dog

Ever since my neighbor brought home their adorable golden retriever puppy a few months ago, I've been completely obsessed. Every morning when I grab the mail from our shared mailbox, I have to pause to watch the puppy play in the yard, wagging its tail so enthusiastically it almost topples over! Sometimes, I even knock on their door under the pretense of borrowing sugar or salt just for an excuse to see that little furball. Today was the cherry on top, I noticed a small note attached to my mailbox with a drawing of a puppy and the words 'For my favorite dog lover.' It's such a cute gesture, but I'm starting to wonder if everyone thinks this is normal behavior... Am I really just that obvious about being a huge fan of their pup? What do you think, is it okay for me to keep sneaking looks and asking to pet him every chance I get?
