Stole the Remote Last Night

Last night, I took the remote when everyone else was sleeping. They all think it's a joint family item but it's mine now. No more fighting over TV time. Dad tried to take it back this morning but I hid it under my pillow. He just doesn't understand what 'keeping your stuff safe' means. It's war out there, and I won the first battle.
