...I Did This Silly Thing at the Playground Today ...

So, I was taking my little one to the playground like any other day. We have this routine we follow, swing, slide, sandbox, and today was no different. As we reached the swings, a new mom arrived with her baby stroller and parked it near the entrance, chatting on her phone while her toddler ran off towards the jungle gym. Now, usually I keep to myself and just watch my kid play. But something about this woman’s casual attitude got under my skin... maybe because she looked so relaxed compared to me, who was sweating from carrying my bags full of snacks and toys. So I thought, why not add a little extra fun for her? I started off subtle, giving my son some silly faces as he swung back and forth. But then I got bolder. I mimicked the sound effects from his favorite cartoon when he would do something cool, like sliding down the slide super fast or jumping really high in the trampoline area. My kid loved it, laughing uncontrollably. And then... well, the kicker came as we were leaving. The woman who had been chatting on her phone was still there, now sitting and enjoying a sandwich with her toddler nearby playing happily. I couldn't resist, it felt like an opportunity too good to miss, and just in front of her stroller, I pretended to trip over a toy that my son conveniently
