Forgot My Own Birthday Party Was Happening

Hey guys, so I have this thing where I kind of forget my own birthdays, which is odd since they happen every year. This past one, I was out with friends at a bar and thought everything was normal until the bartender asked me if it was my birthday and why no one else seemed to know about the party going on in there. Turns out, my best friend had planned an impromptu shindig complete with streamers and a playlist dedicated solely to my favorite tunes. I felt kinda bad since they went all out just for me, but hey, better late than never, right? Plus, it gave everyone else a chance to sing 'Happy Birthday' in the middle of the bar while I pretended it wasn't super awkward.
