so i did this thing at work yesterday

ok so there's this patient in my unit who always gets me hyped up and gives me all the feels because they're just like super sweet but also super grumpy with everyone else. yesterday we got to talking about this really weird conspiracy theory, it's one of those that doesn't make sense when you first hear it but then starts feeling real as you talk more and more about it. we ended up having a full blown debate on it for the next hour or so just him laying in his bed and me sitting by his side. at one point i was like super into it and basically got us both convinced that there's this secret society running everything, man. but then my boss came in with another nurse to do rounds. they looked at us all confused cause i guess we were still arguing about aliens taking over the government and stuff. i could tell they thought i was a bad influence on him or something, even though he seemed totally into it. so after that i felt bad but also kinda funny because who else gets to talk conspiracy theories with patients while working. i told my friend later and she was like “you’re such an asshole for getting him worked up” but honestly i think we both had a really fun time talking nonsense, you know? so yeah just wondering if everyone has stories about doing dumb stuff at work or am i the asshole here?
