I Gave My Little Sister The Wrong Advice On Her First Date

So my little sister just had her first real date with a guy from school. She's only fifteen, but she's super mature for her age and I wanted to give her some pointers before she went out with him. I remember my first date like it was yesterday; I was so nervous and clueless back then, so I figured I could at least help her avoid some of the pitfalls I experienced. First off, I told her not to text too much between dates or even right after because sometimes guys don't want to be inundated with messages. Then there's the whole conversation topic thing, avoid heavy subjects and stick to lighthearted topics that will make for a more relaxed atmosphere. Oh yeah, and I made sure to tell her she should ask him out on subsequent dates rather than waiting around wondering what he's thinking. But then it hit me last night when we were hanging out as a family, what if my advice was the wrong kind of advice? Maybe teenage boys want something different from their first dates. They're not looking for long-term commitment or anything like that; they probably just want to have fun and make sure both people are on the same wavelength. She came home after her date, all smiles but also kind of hesitant. She told me everything went fine but she didn't really know what he thought of her since I advised her not to get too chatty afterward. And that's when it hit me, maybe being overly cautious was exactly what wasn't needed here. Could my attempt to protect her have backfired? I'm worried now because I don't want her to feel like she messed up or lost a chance at something great just because of some outdated advice from an older sibling who thought they knew better. So, am I the asshole for trying to help? Is it normal for me to worry that my advice might've ruined her first date experience? Help!
