Oops, I Did It Again (But This Time With Markers)

Okay, so this might sound silly to some of you out there, but sometimes the little things can feel pretty big. See, last week in class we had our yearly Art Fest where everyone gets creative and messy. Now, let's just say I got a bit too enthusiastic with the washable markers, thinking they were watercolors that would mix beautifully on paper. Instead of the stunning artwork I was hoping for, what came out was more like abstract Jackson Pollock meets finger painting gone awry. The funny part? My kids thought it looked amazing and even wanted to frame their pieces! But deep down, I felt a little guilty about misleading them (and myself) that these markers would work as watercolors. Here's hoping next year’s Art Fest brings better planning on my end!
