When I Got Too Cocky at Work...

So there I was last night, feeling pretty good about myself behind the bar. The place was hopping and my mixology skills were on point. People loved me, drinks flowed like a river in springtime... Then it happened. A regular walked up with that new fancy cocktail they asked for last week but forgot to tip. I thought, 'This is my moment!' So I did something stupid... I made them wait while I preened and showed off with some bar tricks just before making their drink. Big mistake. The table behind them was watching closely, and now people think I'm a show-off... But you know what? Despite everything, I still got that tip in the end. So here's my question: When have you done something at work that backfired but somehow worked out okay anyway?
