Caught Daydreaming About My Favorite Students

I know I'm supposed to be the authority figure in my classroom, but here's something you won't find on any of my lesson plans. I caught myself daydreaming about my favorite students, imagining how they'd grow up and succeed. It's funny how their potential inspires me as much as it does them. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud to be a teacher, but sometimes the role can feel restrictive when all you want is to cheer on these brilliant minds from afar.
