That Painting Lie

I recently had an art show at my local gallery. To fill up some empty spots on the walls, I made these really simple sketches and called them 'unfinished works in progress.' Everyone seemed to love them! But honestly? They're just doodles from when I'm too tired to paint properly. It feels so silly admitting this, but the embarrassment of telling people the truth feels worse than lying about it.
