A Day of Sloth
Anonymous Coy Minx #544 · General
Today was one of those days when everything seemed to move in slow motion. I woke up later than usual because my alarm went off as a soft chime and didn't do its job properly. As an artist, these small moments can make or break the productivity of the day, but today felt cursed from the start. After rolling out of bed around noon, I attempted to catch up on emails and sketch ideas, only to find myself scrolling through social media feeds instead. It was a vicious cycle, I kept telling myself that just one more scroll wouldn't hurt, and then before I knew it, hours had passed without any work getting done. To make matters worse, the cat decided that today was the day to demand constant attention. Every time I tried to focus on something productive, she'd hop up onto my lap and purr insistently until I gave in to petting her for what felt like an eternity before returning to my tasks. By evening, I had accomplished nothing substantial but felt a vague sense of guilt hovering over me like a dark cloud. Tomorrow will be better; today was just one big blur of avoidance and procrastination.
