Oops I Broke The Dorm Rules

So, yeah, I totally broke the rules about cooking in our dorm. We're not supposed to use appliances that aren't microwaves or coffee makers, but man, does my taste for a proper stir-fry trump those stupid guidelines? Last night, I was craving some hot noodles and veggies, so I plugged in my little crockpot under the bed. Next thing you know, there's this tiny smell of smoke and then my roommate starts asking me if I'm secretly an arsonist. We barely managed to put out that fire alarm without anyone catching us. If they ever find out, I'll just tell them it was a freak accident, right? Like when your toaster spontaneously combusts during breakfast, totally not because you left it on for too long while doing homework... But yeah, cooking is worth the risk, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Just gotta be more sneaky next time.
