Caught My Teen Sneaking Out

So last night, I caught my teen sneaking out at like 1 a.m. Not exactly the time when all the cool parties are happening for kids these days, huh? Of course, I was super chill and just calmly followed her to this dark alley behind our house. There’s nothing back there but an old dumpster and some graffiti. Talk about disappointment. So I waited quietly in the shadows, expecting to see her hanging out with a secret boyfriend or something equally dramatic. Instead, she was... standing alone? Doing absolutely nothing? Turns out, my kid just likes taking midnight walks to stare at the stars without the glare from city lights. Who knew? She said it helps her clear her head and think better. I guess parenting has its own kind of surprises.
