...My Long-Standing School Supply Obsession ...

So I've had this weird obsession with school supplies for as long as I can remember. Like, I love everything from the sticky notes to the fancy binders and planners. Every time September rolls around, it's my most anticipated month of the year. It's not like I need all these things, my parents just give me a set budget and let me go wild... This year though, I went a bit overboard. Got so excited by some really pretty notebooks that had intricate designs on them that I ended up overspending my allowance for the whole school year in one day. I felt guilty about it right away, what if something bad happens this year and we need money? Plus there's just no way to justify spending all that cash on stuff that's basically disposable. So I thought, maybe I should take some back...but then I started thinking about how much work it would be to return them, find other things that fit the budget better... I'm still torn between feeling like a complete idiot for blowing my allowance and getting excited whenever I think about these new notebooks... I feel kinda bad admitting this. I mean, most people just accept their school supply purchases as they are, but I have to overthink every little detail of them... Maybe if I can get better at budgeting in the future, it'll be easier. But for now? This is who I am. Confused and conflicted, but also really excited about all those new notebooks... So yeah that's my confession. Not sure what others think, probably just me being overly dramatic again. But hey, better out than in.
