I Spilled My Guts All Over A Note To Her
Anonymous Sly Minx #726 · Crushes & Flirting
Hey everyone, I've been keeping this a secret for way too long and it's starting to feel like an unspoken monster sitting on my chest. It all started last year when I was in biology class with Jamie - you know her; the one who always has a smile that lights up the room. Anyway, we were assigned lab partners, and from day one, every time she would talk to me about dissecting worms or whatever, my stomach just felt like it had a billion butterflies. But back then, I was okay with being friends because I thought if I liked her enough as a friend, eventually she'd see me differently too.
Fast forward to the first day of school this year: we're in different classes now, but our lockers are next to each other. We always bump into each other between periods, and it's become this awkward dance routine trying not to look at her or act too excited when I do see her. But last week, she was looking for a pen and I offered mine without thinking twice about how my hand shook while handing it over.
Then came today: English class, we had a pop quiz, and after finishing early, I scribbled a quick message to her on a note paper asking if she wanted to study together. It's been bugging me since Monday that I haven't told her, so I thought this was my chance! Only problem is, while trying not to spill ink all over the damn thing because of how nervous I am writing it, I end up with a huge ink stain right in the middle of where I wrote 'Hi Jamie!' Now, instead of confessing my feelings (just as friends) through a nice little note, it looks like a 12-year-old tried to write a secret love letter and screwed everything up. Ugh. How am I going to face her now?
