The Diner's Secret Laughter Hour
Anonymous Wily Gossip #390 · General
Hey everyone! So I've been working the night shift at a diner for over six months now. You'd think it would get boring, right? But here’s my secret: there are these moments when nobody else is around and all you hear is the soft hum of the fridge lights and the occasional sizzle of grease in the deep fryer. It's then that I burst out laughing at nothing because the quiet just feels so silly to me. Like a weird kind of cosmic joke about staying up too late, or maybe it’s something my day-shift coworkers don’t understand. I mean, who laughs hysterically during their lunch break anyway? Do other people experience this feeling of being so alone and awake that it turns into giggles for no reason at all? Is there some sort of night owl club out there that thinks staying up until the wee hours is hilarious? Anybody else ever felt this way or have a funny story about working late nights? I’m dying to hear what you guys think!
