my kid's secret cookie stash

sooo there was this one time when the kids were supposed to be getting their teeth checked so i had to stay home from work and watch em, right? well the thing is they are like little cookie monsters and always sneak some sweet treats that i try to limit but you know what mommies do for love... anyways so today while they where in bed watching tv i thought hey why not raid their secret stash that was hidden in a drawer inside their favorite blanket cave hideout? it was the perfect chance cos no one is around and plus im trying out this new cookie diet thingy where eating 2 cookies every day will help me lose weight... but ofc they come back home early so i have to quickly shove half the stash under my bed, not thinking much about it lol. but then guess what? in the evening while we are all sitting down for dinner, who walks into the living room looking for her favorite toy car that i hid with cookies and goes right into their secret drawer only to discover empty wrappers all over the place... of course i was busted and now im waiting for the punishment from my kids lol. did i do wrong or is it okay as a mommy to enjoy a little treat when no one is around? what would you guys do in my shoes?
